Can the speakers on a macbook pro 10,1 be replaced?

Yes, if you can find the parts. Apple won't have them but there should be used/pulled parts offered on the internet.


You computer is too old for Apple to work on it.


However, replacement requires a nearly complete take-apart of the computer to access them. One self-repair site shows 35 steps(!) to get to the speakers. Along the way, you encounter a LOT of painfully delicate parts and connectors; damage to any could render the computer beyond practical repair..


I recommend professional service, but be ready for labors costs that are far more than the speakers.


Given the age of the computer, headphones or external speakers probably make more financial sense.
