Trying to erase info on older ipad. wont let me use my apple id and password. I changed the password but still no luck

Are you using the same account you were using last with the iPad? It will require the information for that account. Updated information will work but it has to be for that account, not a new one.

I have an older ipad i hadnt used for about 3 years. Im trying to unlock it but it wont let me use my apple ID to open acct. i changed the password and tried again. No luck. Any other suggestions
