Screen recording custom window size refuses to resize

Hey guys, I am trying to record a portion of my screen with QuickTime, and to my surprise the window size cropping refuses to resize.

Regardless from which side I pull it, the recording area doesn't want to resize. Anyone had that problem? Is there a setting that prevents me from resizing the recording window?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.4

sorry, I cannot replicate your issue. I am not having any issue with resizing that box. either a recording or screenshot.

are you using any apps that claim to "speed up" or "clean up" or otherwise "optimize" your Mac? and / or any antivirus apps? any of those things are well known to cause issues within macOS while providing zero protection or benefit.
