Did you Incorrectly Enter the Passcode too Many Times?

I presume you forgot your passcode. If so, having entered it incorrectly too many times, that can certainly occur. So, let the iPhone be, and when the hour has gone by, change the Passcode: If you forgot your iPhone Passcode - Apple Support
