create a new .me email address
in changing my name I need to change my apple id email. how can I get a new .me email?
You cannot. Apple no longer offers me.com addresses.
You can add an alias to your current account, with your new name, but it will end in iCloud.com not me.com.

Your original me.com email address will continue to exist and cannot be changed however.
