Thank you! currently I have to set the goole video meet in google calendar then I have to paste the link in the location. I was hoping ti use the drop down from the video-icon to add google meet. The video-icon drop down has only FaceTime.

Hi sassran - I was searching recently for options to add a Google Meet video link to Apple Calendar appointments.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to do so. Neither Google nor Apple provide a way to create the Google Meet link, and I couldn't find any Calendar plug-in or third-party utility filling that gap.

I finally installed Microsoft Outlook on my Mac, and the Google Meet add-on for Outlook. This way, I can add a Google Meet link to meeting requests. This means you need to ditch Apple Calendar in favor of Outlook, though.

I hope this helps.
