iphone 13 ios 16.5 charging issue

In case anyone has the same issue, I managed to resolve it after reading another post somewhere although I can’t remember where.

The post said to leave it charging for half an hour and then reboot whilst it was still on charge. On restart the percentage had jumped by 5% and then continued to charge to 100%.

Thank you, yes my phone usually shows optimized charging and I charge it in the same place/power socked each night. However since the ios 16.5 update charging is not taking place at all. At first I thought it was not charging because it was before the timeframe for optimised charging to finish but there was no notification on the phone that optimised charging was taking place. When I plug it in I get the "ping" to suggest charging is happening but it is not charging at all. I have even tried toggling optimised battery charging off to force it to charge but that has not worked either.

I have seen several comments about issues of charging since ios 16.5 update and was wondering if there has been an issue acknowledged by apple. Or if someone had another fix.
