Apple watch stays black unless I touch it. I want it to show up all the time. How do I repair this problem?

It sounds like the theatre mode is switched on.

To turn it off: swipe up on your watch face to reveal the control center. Find the theatre mask logo, if the theatre mode is on this logo is orange. Press the logo in order to turn the theatre mode off

My watch face suddenly overnight turned black and I don’t know how to get it back to normal
