Notify when left behind - Apple Watch

Hello,

I recently switched over to an Apple Watch Ultra and configured it to notify me using "Notify when left behind" when I failed to take my iPhone (13) with me. I noticed this wasn't currently working so I went back in an tried to reapply the setting but now my iPhone won't let me configure my watch to be the notifying device. Instead it's set to alert me via my other (work) iPhone - which doesn't do me much good because I rarely am carrying the two at the same time.

Is there a way to set the notifying device on "Notify when left behind" to be my watch vs. my other iPhone?

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks for the response. "Allow Notifications" is enabled on the Watch app. It's just weird because when I first got my new watch it worked just fine. If I got out of range of the phone it would buzz/notify me. As of some WatchOS/iOS update it just stopped working and I can't get it to re-enable...

Try this. Go to Find Devices on your Watch. Select your phone and make sure that Notify When Left Behind is enabled. That's the only other place I can find that there is a setting.

If I look at Find My on my iPhone, it shows as notifications enabled for the Watch. I tried turning it off and back on again and it reappeared. So, the feature does still seem to exist.
