Studio Display

Normal, ignore.

I've got a secondary monitor - a 10 year old Samsung and it's running 8-9ºC cooler - the Studio display is running at 42.4º in the bottom right hand side, 39º top left.

I ought not to be normal really - that's a lot of energy I'm wasting

Then sell the Studio Display and buy another Samsung. Problem solved.
