Watch chimes randomly with no notification when when sleep focus is active

Title says it all. The chime occurs at random times throughout the day. There is no notification explaining what happened or why it chimed. It just makes a noise and pretends nothing happened. It even happens randomly at night while sleep focus is active to my wife’s extreme displeasure. The only way to stop it is to silence the watch but that silences the alarm too so that isn’t an option. Is there any way to find out why it is pinging me?

I have been noticing random taps and sounds with no notifications, but just found out about the "chimes" setting on my watch. On your watch, go to settings>clock>chimes. Maybe it's on.

I'm still having this issue across multiple software updates, factory resets, multiple iPhones. You're right, it's not even on any focus. I can happen with no active focus at all. I kept a log of time and date and found no pattern. I've given up trying to figure this out.

Mine was doing it. Regardless of sleep mode or even 'do not disturb'.

it would be around the same time

every hour. Even after unpairing and re-pairing.

suddenly yesterday it stopped.

no idea why.

hopefully, if you continue to update apps and OS, it will go.

I don't think it's just the sleep focus. I've been keeping a log of when I hear it and it's always around the time when I'm in a focus like Work or Workout or when it changes. Once it happened with Sleep Focus started automatically at bed time.
