Calendar app error 3

Hi Community,

Find attached the error when I tried to refresh a subscribed Calendar, one custom and another from Vacations Calendar - from Settings. I already removed and added both calendars again with no success.

Can you help me with this problem?

Thanks.

G'day GTê,

We see you're getting an alert about your subscribed calendars, and you've done some great troubleshooting already.

We noticed in your profile that you might be using a Mac mini. Is that right? If you happen to be using a portable Mac instead, we'd recommend trying to connect to a different Wi-Fi network and then test to see if you get the same result. Knowing this will help to rule out potential connection issues.

You can also boot your Mac into safe mode to test there. This runs a basic disk check and then prevents some items from loading when you start up, so it could help in narrowing things down further. Check out this link for the steps, which will vary depending on your Mac model and processor: Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

Once you start up in safe mode, test it out and then click Apple menu () > Restart to do a normal boot. Then let us know the results or check the link above for further steps you can take depending on what you find in safe mode.

Regards.

Hi GTê,

Let's continue with refreshing the calendar. This process will refresh the connection and should help with resolving this issue. Here's how:

1. In the Calendar app  on your Mac, Control-click a calendar below On My Mac in the calendar list.
2. If you don’t see the calendar list on the left, choose View > Show Calendar List. If your calendar list doesn’t have an On My Mac section, your calendars are in an account, such as iCloud.
3. Choose Get Info, then select “Publish changes automatically.”

If you see a warning symbol  next to a calendar you published, shared, or subscribed to, Calendar is unable to connect to the calendar account. Check your internet connection and try refreshing or updating the calendar again.

Also, make sure the calendar hasn’t been deleted or moved. To see the calendar’s web address, Control-click the calendar’s name, then choose Get Info.

This information is from Refresh calendars on Mac - Apple Support.

Take care.

Understood GTê,

On your Mac, do you have any kind of additional security software or settings? Those can sometimes interfere with the connections needed for the Mac.

To partly test this, set up a new administrator account with the follow steps and then see if you can add the calendars there: Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This'll also help narrow down where the problem lies.

Cheers!

Hello,

I am also having this issue and have tried the troubleshooting suggestions above and also tried to merge to a new calendar which I saw on another thread. The problem has not been resolved. The issue is happening with anyone I've shared the calendar with. I unshared, re-shared, same issue.

Is there another solve? I do not want to lose my calendar history but this is presenting an issue.
