My MacBook runs hot

My MacBook runs hot , like really hot after I use it for a while. how do I figure out what programs are running or starting automatically ?


MacBook Pro 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7



MacBook Pro (2017 – 2020)

Here is how you can determine which programs automatically start up:

Otherwise, maybe consider handing your device in a professional shop for cleaning, often times it its the dust and debris build up in the machines which then, coupled with a degrading thermal paste, lead to overheating devices.
