Dot/Comma Key on my Numeric Keyboard
Hi, on my Macbook Air (M2) and Ventura 13.4.
I have an external keyboard with numeric pad. I use Excel and I need the "Dot" key to give me commas so my numbers will add up.
Thanks!

Hi I have the same issue.
The numbers with a period as a decimal point is interpreted as text.
A workaround is to change the period to a comma.
Have a look at your System Settings > Language and Region >Number format, for me the most acceptable format is 1 234 567,89
My preferred numeric format is 1 234 567.89 but looks like there is no option, yet it is common on a Windows PC from I can remember.
I also asked here:
Thanks! But I´ve already try that and it´s not what I´m looking for.
My need is that when I press the "." key, when using excel, instead of typing a dot, to type a comma, so it´s a number and works as number.
Try using Shift dot or Option dot and see if you get a comma instead.
The best forum for Excel is often
I can't find it right now as I have no access to Excel here, but that's a cell format function
Control + Period on the numpad puts down a comma
Still don't like it. Can't colaberate on documents if the formats differ.
