I can’t figure out how to separate and delete audio that’s captured during recording, in LumaFusion it’s very simple but so far no luck here. I know I’m just missing something. Thanks!

You can’t, it looks like all you can do is select each clip or a group of clips with audio you don’t want to hear, hit the volume button on the bottom and lower the slider that pops up.
Ok - well - just to try and clarify a little, I have an effect that when you drop it on a clip, blanks out the video (just turns it completely transparent). Audio is still available. There are parameter controls so that you can set the time the video blanks out (OFF At %) and comes back on (ON At %) so that you can do a kind of "internal blade", if you will so you can keep longer audio tracks intact. The effect also has an optional Timer Guide which assists in setting up precision on and off times, since these values are in "% of Length of Clip". The Timer Guide places short lines at the bottom of the clip indicating the OFF and ON "cuts" and a small inverted triangle which "tracks" the playhead time so you can *see* where you are in a clip in "% of clip length time" - if you get my drift...
It also doesn't matter what aspect ratio of clips you use — it just works. Unfortunately, I have no idea if it can be used for FCP on an iPad, so Tom's idea of using the Opacity control to take out the video is probably just as simple. If FCPi handles Effects Presets, you can create a preset of 0 Opacity video which will help you isolate audio quickly. I suppose the same could be done with the audio (setting volume to -∞ and saving the Volume setting as an Effect Preset) to create a "video only" clip.
I ended up dropping the clips that needed audio deleted from into Luma Fusion then saved them and brought them back into FCP.
As far as I can tell there is no detach function.
Detach the audio using iMovie and then import to Final Cut Pro ipad
I don't have FCP iPad (and probably never will), but could you use a way to disable the video without disabling the audio? You'd still have to deal with the audio as a video clip. Do you know how to add FCP motion templates to a project on the iPad?
There’s probably an opacity control that can take it out. Can’t believe that’s no way to do a video or audio edit. That’s so fundamental
