I am trying to transfer Ticketmaster tickets to Apple Wallet

I don’t know if y’all ever figured it out but I couldn’t get the add to apple wallet icon to show up either. I had to push view barcode. Then it came up and was able to add them to apple wallet.

@kwitt777, that was the answer! Turning your phone sideways enables the Apple Wallet icon to show up at the bottom and I could save my ticket to my wallet. What a simple solution - I'm so glad I saw your comment!!

Correct and there hasn’t been for several years. The security had to tighten because of scalpers and other security issues. The tickets are added via the Ticketmaster website, mobile app or links/QR code in a text or email from Ticketmaster.

I couldn't add the ticket from the browser window, which opened up after following link enclosed in the email. Usually the browser window that opens will have an "open in Ticketmaster app" option at the top and/or the "Add to Apple Wallet" will pop up after choosing "open ticket" link. Not this time, it just opened a regular browser window without either option. Started researching and found your solution. Thank you for sharing!

Have you contacted Ticketmaster support? You may be able to transfer the tickets using their website. When using the website, some browser may display the site differently than others. If Safari doesn’t work try Chrome and see if it works.

I'm having the exact same experience, and I have been successfully adding tix from Ticketmaster into Apple Wallet for the past 5 years. But over the past few weeks, I have had a few ticketed events that I can't get the "Add to Apple Wallet" button to show up on my mobile app. I've been attempting from both my MLS team's app, which uses Ticketmaster, and through the Ticketmaster app, and neither is providing the Apple Wallet button.

Got it!! I had to go to “my tickets” then click “use ticket”. It brought me to a purple screen with a barcode and a button that said to “add to apple wallet.” Once I clicked that it asked if I wanted to add 1 or 2 tickets.

Just turning the phone horizontally didn’t work for me. To fix it, I clicked on “Request Mobile Site” under the rounded circle with two lines icon (new on iOS 18) and accessed the tickets. I turned the phone sideways to see Apple Wallet button. Yay!

Safari. Also, before posting this fix, I tried changing the display zoom back to default and it didn’t make a difference. Seems like each of us has encountered a different set of obstacles requiring a different combination of tricks. 😄

The app refuses to allow me to download my tickets to my wallet, as I cannot get beyond the facial recognition step. Very frustrating - especially considering the ridiculous amount of fees the Ticketmaster charges.
