Would you mind providing a photo of your iPhone, so we can better see what you’re describing? Also, take a screenshot. If the white line shows up, then we’ll have to troubleshoot further, as it is not a hardware issue. If the line doesn’t show up, then please have your iPhone checked out, as this could very well be a hardware issue.

Sounds like you restarted your device by letting the battery drain completely. Next time, please try restarting the device using these steps: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support, and see if that will fix the issue too. And then please share the results!

Hmm like H1290 said it would be helpful with a photo but it sounds as if your screen has been broken, screens can’t break without cracking the glass protecting them. Is it possible you went to a 3rd party repair shop and the screen n got messed up? Or did you let someone use your phone? Or even just applying too much pressure to the display?
