Sudden Quality Drop on Apple Music

Hi,

I am experiencing quality issues (drops) on Apple Music with hi-res lossless. The music continues to play but the sound quality suddenly drops drastically. I tried this on various networks with the same result, both on my MacBook Pro and iPhone.

Example Song: Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton

Here the quality drops around min 3:55

This issue only appears when I listen to the entire song, when I ff to min 3:55, there is no drop in quality. This happens to me on various songs

Hey. Just came across your post while experiencing exactly this issue on my Mac. I noticed, if you shut down the apple music app and reopen it again, the sound quality comes back to "normal". After a few songs playing, it drops quality again. Initially, I thought it might be due to the internet speed at home. But then it happened in three different locations with really good internet speed, so discarded this being the reason.

Have you found out what's going on?

Another example:

And again, issue only appears when listening to the entire song. FFWD to min 3:13 does not reproduce the problem.

Hey,

I'm experiencing the exact same problem. Closing the Music app and reopening solves it every time. Not sure why it's happening, but boy is it annoying. It's very apparent when the streaming quality drops. Would love it if Apple gets on this issue. The monthly subscription adds up!

Coldplay - Yellow (24-bit 192kHz), quality drops at 3:26, only appears when listening to the full song.
