How to reset AppleTV 4K without remote

I purchased 2 AppleTV 4K 2nd Gen Devices at an estate sale but neither have the remote. I have tried every suggestion I can find to Reset them and Add to AppleTV Remote App on iOS but no success. The iOS AppleTV Remote App on my iPhone does not show any way to "Add TV". I have deleted and restored the App but no go. The select Tv drop-down shows all the other ATV's I own but no way to Add the one(s). Absolutely stumped on this. Thanks for any help.

UPDATE:

I connected directly to my router with an ethernet cable and was able to gain access via iOS ATV Remote App. Doing a software update right now and then doing a hard reset. Even downloaded Apple Configurator which didn't show it either. Not sure why Apple felt it important to eliminate a $0.35 USB connector on this.
