I'm no longer able to drag and drop into Documents or Desktop, also Finder does not relaunch. Error message is The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “Documents” can’t be found.

If the Documents and Desktops folders are not working, try removing and re-adding them. In Finder select Finder up in the menu bar and choose Preferences. Go to the Sidebar tab and uncheck the Desktop and Documents options. Wait a few seconds then select them again.
After that, test it out and see if the folders still generate the same error.
