Why i can’t tap on my name on settings? I can’t access

You may have Content & Privacy Restrictions set to ON in Screen Time.

Open Settings ➡️ Screen Time ➡️ Content & Privacy Restrictions ➡️ Account Changes: Set this to Allow.

Is there anybody out there that can tell me how to go into settings and where do I go to tap my name so I can get to where I can change my Apple ID because I forgot it

Changing your Apple ID password can only be done if you know your current password.

That is funny as I am the Mom! I control my phone and I have never bothered to control my children's phones. I checked with my Family members (my husband and I and our adult children) and no one has changed their access or mine. Still looking into the mystery!

Ensure that you have followed the steps shown in my previous response. If that does not resolve the issue and your Apple ID is still greyed out then I would like to ask you whether you know if your iPhone was issued by an employer or a school initially?

And my iPhone is one I purchased myself. I just upgraded to iOS 17.2.1 Unlikley, but any chance the recent change that I cannot select my name on settings (my Family group I can tap on) is related to the operating system update?

I did this but still not able to select my name or other options on apple id page.

This is how to do it

Open settings scroll down to screen time press on screen time. Go on privacy and restrictions. scroll down to contact changes press on contact changes and press allow.

I tried the above and it is asking for a password. I didn't set this up so do not have a password.

Get your mom or dad who controls your phone to do it.

I just downloaded iOS 17.4.1 and now I’m experiencing the same problem!
