I've the INNOVV camera that records in MPEG 2 Travel Stream. FCP will not recognize the format. I've located VLC 3.0.18 for macOS that will convert but the process is long and I've many files. Is there an extension or upgrade with FCP that allows it import for editing? Thanks in advance.

You can select multiple files and use right-clip open with Compressor to import. Or use the Compressor window to import files into it, or drag files to convert into the Compressor. It worked without problem with the m2t files I have. The application is quite independent from FCP though it does work with it for export from FCP.

FCP cannot work with m2t transport stream files. I would suggest using Compressor which can batch convert if you have it, or Handbrake, which is free, that can convert files sequentially.
Drag your .ts files into Compressor, apply an output format and process them. If there isn't a built-in output format that suits your needs, make a duplicate of one that's close and change the settings to what you want.
The file is in DVD format. I wish I’d seen the file format earlier. Try using Handbrake, which is a free download.

Compressor seems to be more on the output, say from FCP, than on input files, say to be edited in FCP. Did I miss something? Is there
Thank you both. I've uploaded, applied various "Settings" (presumably for output) and all I receive is audio output files, considerably reduced in size. No video.
