Shortcuts App Allow Running Scripts Setting

I try to run a shortcut that contains a shell script. The shortcut fails with the message “This shortcut cannot be run because this action is a scripting action and your Shortcuts security settings don’t allow you to run scripting actions”, even in spite of the “Allow Running Scripts” setting being enabled. How can I get this setting to (1) behave as expected and (2) to persist?

Thanks for the reply! Alas, that setting in System Settings is already enabled. Drat! Strange thing is that occasionally Shortcuts behaves as expected and runs the script. But not consistently enough to be relied upon; more often than not, I get that dreaded rejection.

Try going to System Settings, Privacy & Security, Full Disk Access, and enable 'Shortcuts'.
