iCloud back up
If I have the iCloud backup automatically turned on, do I need to also go in and tap the back up now tab to back up my phone?

You may request a backup to occur now if you wish.
If you don’t request a “back up now”, backups will occur occasionally when your iPhone is well charged or plugged in to power, connected to Wi-Fi, and generally in a quiet state.
