How to Use Magic Keyboard to Shutdown iMac M1
There are times when I need to quickly shutdown my computer: i) Having logged in; ii) Having pressed the start button (back of computer), but not yet logged in.
In the first instance, from what I have been able to find online, I should be able to press "Control–Option–Command–Power button" to "Quit all apps, then shut down your Mac". BUT … the 'Magic Keyboard' that came with the computer has no 'Power button', and to perform the suggested operation using the power button at the back of the screen is beyond my dexterity.
In the second instance, on starting the screen displays three buttons – Shutdown, Restart & Sleep, but I can find no way of activating them before I log-in, and of course once I have logged in they are no longer visible or necessary … what is the point of their being displayed?
Perhaps I am missing something … whatever it may be, it is very well hidden.
Is this something that needs to be raised with Apple Feedback?
