Streaming movies freeze on ipads

I'm on my second ipad, and both froze randomly whenever I'd watch streaming shows (Netflix, Apple TV, Peacock). I have to close the app, then turn off wifi, back on again, and open the movie app again. Then it would start up again. This happens at least 3 times or more through a movie. Only on both of the ipads (I have only one now)! No problems with my laptop, desktop or iphone.

I bought a new ipad thinking the former one was too old, but the new one is the same. I wanted to use the ipad mainly for streaming movies, so I'm really disappointed.
