Embedded images in email not showing.

My Apple Mail just started not showing images embedded in the email -- just the little blue box with a question mark. I use the Apple Mail app client on top of the AOL server. (Not my choice.)

I use:

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)

iOS 12.6.5

Any suggestions?

Email Images Not Loading Certain images are not displaying in my email messages. There is only a small blue box with a question mark in the center of where the image should be. I have already checked to make sure that Load remote content in messages is checked, so that's not it.

Images not loading in Mac Mail Monterey 12.6.1. Hoping the community can help. Why won't embedded images load in my Mail emails ( both laptop & imac) ? I'm on Monterey 12.6.1. Happened about 2 weeks ago to both devices. Privacy button remains unchecked

OK. Strangely (to me at least) is that Relaunching the Finder cured the problem.
