AppleCare refund

Yes you can cancel an existing contract and receive a prorated refund. I've done it yearly numerous times to cancel my iPhone after purchasing and receiving my new iPhone.

Dial ‭(800) 692-7753‬ and ask for "Agreement Administration / Apple Care+" department when the auto attendant answers.
