Is it possible? If its possible, which usb wifi adapter I need to use or what kind of usb wifi adapter I need.

Hi,

A USB Wi-Fi adapter would not be compatible with an iOS 9.3.6 iPhone 4s. Even if the phone's 30-pin port and the Wi-Fi device could be physically connected via a powered USB hub, I do not see how one would handle the necessary software/drivers.

If the iPhone 4s otherwise is OK, you may be able to access the Internet through the 3G mobile/cellular data connection. However, this will be slow and can be expensive. Others could possibly make use of this connection via the iPhone 4s Personal Hotspot over Bluetooth or USB, even if Wi-Fi is not working.

Later iPhone models with a Lightning port may use an Ethernet adapter for a wired network connection.

Hello again,

Do you still mean the iOS 9.3.6 iPhone 4s? If so, as I also indicated above, you should be able to connect the laptop to the iPhone's Personal Hotspot (3G Internet) using USB or Bluetooth. However, as far as I know, "reverse tethering" via USB or Bluetooth would not work. That is, you cannot use the iPhone's 30-pin/USB or Bluetooth in the other direction in order to access an Internet connection provided by the laptop (ICS or hotspot). With a working iPhone Wi-Fi, it would have been another matter.

A newer iPhone with a Lightning port and an appropriate Ethernet adapter should be able to access the Internet shared by a laptop (ICS/hotspot).
