Apple Music autoplays randomly, when terminating a phone call or when connecting to a bluetooth device (not AirPlay type device) like my older automobile. I've followed the typical instructions to disable it, via the infinity looking icon. But, my version of the app doesn't display that icon. How can I disable it completely or perhaps better yet, permanently delete or disable Apple Music since I use a different service anyway?

I've been fighting this same battle for years. Really annoying to finish a call and then have Apple Music start blaring unrequested at a very high volume. I too googled around and tried all these suggestions to no satisfaction. Then I happened upon the only solution somewhere in these forums to work. Delete the Apple Music app.
Like you, I rarely listen to Apple Music, so this solution worked for me.
Really disappointed that Apple couldn't provide a programmatic solution.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. We'd like to share some information with you. All adjustable settings for the Music app can be found on your device by going to Settings > Music. You'll notice that there isn't a built-in option to disable "Autoplay" when connecting to a car stereo.
Some car stereos do have built-in settings that allow you to adjust autoplay features. But this all varies on the manufacture of the stereo. You might have to review your user manual for help.
