USB Audio Renderer issues after OS update

Running Ventura 13.3.1 (a) M1 2021 24in Mac

Ever since I did the update to Ventura 13 a month or two ago I have this issue when first turn on the mac where my USB audio (running Bose system) doesn't work. At first noticed it with YouTube it would come up and say Audio Renderer Error. Please restart your system. I would restart and everything would be fine after that.

I noticed it also applies to any other audio program I try to use, the audio won't play until I select another output or restart...... Also discovered if I just unplug the speakers from the computer and plug them back up everything is fine and I don't have to restart...

I've tried searching for a solution but everything's coming up with Windows based system, no OS... I am using a USB C to USB adapter and have been since getting my mac last year.

Any ideas?

Hello Holeshot1982,

It sounds like you've done a lot of great troubleshooting. Based on what you've told us, it sounds like the issue has been isolated to the adaptor or speakers, let's start there.

To begin, we recommend making sure your adaptor is compatible with your Mac. If you're not sure it is, you can purchase on here: USB-C to USB Adapter - Apple

If you connect a different set of speakers to your Mac, does the issue continue? If not, you may need to reach out to Bose for more help as the issue would be isolated to the speakers. Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support

Thanks.
