intermittent email "This message has no content"

There seems to be some sort of glitch between the iPhone email and the Mac email systems. Sometimes when I have opened emails on my iPhone, when I load the email on my MacBook it shows "This message has no content". It only happens intermittently, and no matter what I do, it won't load the content to the MacBook. Other messages received after these messages will load normally. Any ideas?
