I have an IMAC with OS Monterey version 12.6.3. Apparently my quarkxpress editor will not work now. Is there anything I can do to make my level of quarkxpress work?

You are behind in your System updates. Update to 12.6.5 and check the Quark site to see if you have the current version confirmed by Quark to be compatible with macOS Monterey.
Provide your system meets the software requirements there should be nothing to do. However, this is a question for the makers of quark
