Passkey for Google not working on iPhone but working on iPad

Issue with Passkeys and iPhone: I created Passkey through Google Account and my iPad which has iCloud keychain. The iPad now uses passkey to log on to Google account fine. I then tried to log on my Google account using iPhone but Google asks me for a password instead. I checked Passwords in my iPhone and it tells me it is using a passkey and then below it even says I can delete my password.

I cannot log in to Google account using Passkey in my iPhone even though both Google and IOS tells me my phone is activated for passkey. The iPad works fine using passkey.
