APPLE WATCH WHILE CHARGING

I just bought my apple watch last 2 days and yesterday while I charge my apple watch I still can see my battery percentage by tapping at the top left of the icon but today when I try to tap at the same icon (top left) while charging it doesn't show any respond so what is the problem ?
