Finder Toolbar in Monterey

I delayed as long as possible to give up 32-bit apps I occasionally used, but finally gave up and migrated from Mojave to Monterey. Somewhere between those versions, the Finder Toolbar was changed to require the inclusion of the current path and forces it to be far to the left. This means that multiple Toolbar items are often always invisible without extra clicks. Is there any way to remove that item from the Toolbar or move it to the far right -- or at least to the right of items I use all the time?
