Green dot on MacBook screen

My MacBook Pro (running Ventura 13.2.1) is exhibiting a green dot in the far upper right corner. It does not appear to be a camera indicator, as it's not with the control panel icon in the menu bar. Rather, it's superimposed over whatever else is there (see pics).

What is this indicating?

MacBook Pro 15″, OS X 10.10

It's the same indicator, it's just misplaced.

Try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. Sometimes that will fix anomalies.
