My online banking no longer works on my new Mac

I've just updated to Ventura 13.3.1, and now my digital banking online (which I've used for years) will not work - every time I log in to make a payment / transfer etc, it asks me to log in again (on a broken loop).

Money 'trapped' and stuck in limbo. I've been told by the bank to try a different browser (always used Safari). So, is this an Apple issue? This Mac is brand new (bought 1 month ago) and have had nothing but trouble and frustration from it since I took it out of the box!).

Any help out there? Thanks in advance (ps. I'm not 'technical'!)

Try a different browser as suggest by the bank. Firefox would be an example and like most is free and is secure. If it works it would at least get you in to do your banking. I also do online banking but haven't had your issue after the update so I can't offer any insight. Its seems to me the issue is with the bank, not Safari or Apple.

If you contact Apple you are not asking for financial assistance, just technical assistance. They might know how to set up Safari to communicate with your bank's website. At the very least Apple would be aware of the issue.

got it - but I avoid getting apps from places other than App Store - I trust no one. btw firefox works fine for this bank - so apple update iOS and now I can not get to my back now its my banks problem or mine to use a different browsers - - sure glad thee upgrade only impacted one site :(

If it is only one bank I think the answer is obvious. It is not Apple's responsibility to make Safari work with every one of the millions of sites out there. It is the site developers' responsibility to ensure that their apps/configurations meet the requirements of the operating system/browsers they want their apps to work with.

With respect to FireFox, it has been a standard safe browser for many years. If you are uncomfortable using FireFox you can try Chrome, Brave, Edge, or any other browser that works with your operating system version.

I could write an online app accessable through a browser and my code may not work with Safari. Using your logic, it would be Apple's responsibility to make Safari compatible with my online app, Sorry, but this is not how the industry works.
