PDF downloads

In Ventura, I can't open PDF downloads from my bank. I get the message

"The operation could not be completed as Acrobat Reader doesn't have permission to access: ~/Downloads/.

Launch privacy settings to grant access?"

How do I fix? Thank you

downloads My current, os is Ventura 13.4.1, Safari Version 16.5.2, MacBook Air M1, and I am unable to download PDF's from my bank & a different financial institution. Been doing it monthly for years, never an issue. I open the PDF, go down and hit the download symbol, nothing. The download folder doesn't open. What am I doing wrong? Anyone else with the Issue?

Cannot fill PDFs at home but I can at work I have been making purchase orders at work in fillable PDFs. At home, I cannot click in the fillable fields, nothing happens. Both machines I'm using Preview, both are running Ventura. The PDFs are shared via OneDrive. The documents are not locked, the editing permissions seem OK. ???

Using Adobe instead of textEdit In ventura I switched to Ventura last night. Now when I'm trying to open some pdfs the files open in Text Edit and I don't want that. Then I went into Get Info and changed the default from TextEdit to Adobe Acrobat but I keep getting a message that it is an "unidentified developer". How do I get back to Adobe to open pdfs

You can go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, Click on Full Disk Access in the sidebar to the right. Then if Adobe Reader isn't listed click on the Plus icon in the lower left to add it.
