In Numbers, hide text in a cell based on state of another cell

I wish to hide the data in a cell containing a formula until data is entered into another cell. Something like this:

"If B11 is blank, then text in B12 is white". B12 is the cell containing a mathematical formula.

Is there a way to do this?

You might be able to do something like this with conditional highlighting (I use B2 and B3 in my example):

The equation is B3 will be white text if B2 is blank. It will be normal if there is anything in B2 other than the same text (or the start of the same text) as what's in B3. Without knowing what will be entered into the cell, I don't know if this will work for you or not.
