iOS 16.4.1 and my CarPlay will no longer connect via Bluetooth. Tried all suggestions but none work. My sons iPhone 6s connects via Bluetooth properly.

How do I repair my Apple CarPlay connection via Bluetooth? No longer works after the 16.4.1 update. Tried all recommendations found on the internet. Even chatted with Apple Support with no solution. The phone incoming and outgoing calls do connect to the GMC infotainment system via Bluetooth. CarPlay will connect and work properly with the cord.

Also tried removing two fuses for the infotainment center and reinstalled after 5 minutes. iPhone SE2020 still wouldn’t connect to Carplay. Noticed during connection attempts that the second message “Use CarPlay with GMC” doesn’t seem to register. The message goes away on my phone when confirmed but the “Check for Messages” screen on the infotainment system stays running until it times out.

I had this exact problem this morning after updating. I reset everything that I could and nothing worked but Apple gave me these exact steps and it somehow worked this time around.

Un-plug all cords that you may have plugged in (I just did this as a precaution).

Delete your car from Bluetooth memory.

Turn off Bluetooth.

Reset your phone.

Delete your entire phone history from your car.

Turn phone back on, and re-pair to your car.

Tap CarPlay and see if it comes up.

Idk how, because I did all of these things before, but somehow this specific order fixed it.
