how do i to get gmail icon on dock?

To place an app in the Dock, drag the app onto the dock and release.
The icon will remain on the dock.
The actual application will return to wherever you dragged it from.
You can place a website onto the dock by dragging the URL from the address bar of the browser onto the section of the dock to the right of the separator bar and releasing.
