Will Studio Display work connected to Thunderbolt docking station?

I have a '20 Intel MBP plugged into a Kensington Thunderbolt 4 docking station. Will the Studio Display work as expected if I connect the DS' upstream TB4 cable to the docking station or does it have to be connected directly to the MBP?

My assumption is that it should work connected to the dock but you know what they say about assumptions.... 😉
