apple classical buggy

Not sure why the Classical app was released but it’s incredibly buggy and seemed designed to frustrate. Case in point:

  1. I have over 100 albums in the main app that are classical and what shows in ACM is a smattering of jazz and classical
  2. Nothing shows other John Coltrane in Artists
  3. playlists don’t work at all. Can’t add to them, and what’s there is from the main app.
  4. Albums that I “add” don’t get added.

I could go on but to me this seems like an epic fail from the most valued company on the planet. I’m sticking with Roon for my classical listening.

Hi lgoler,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

With this issue of Apple Music Classical, make sure the device is running the latest version for the most recent performance fixes. Remove the app and reinstall it. You'll have to download all your offline music again, but this won't delete your music from your Apple Music library.

Thanks for the reply but I don’t believe you are correct. I looked at local storage and the Classical app doesn’t show any albums nor does it have a downloaded section like the main Apple Music app. Are you sure one can store music locally on the Classical app? Also, after deleting and reinstalling I still can’t add to a playlist.
