Swipe up/down inactive
My AppleWatch 3 refuses to swipe up/down, meaning I cannot access certain options. Any suggestions as to how to resolve this gratefully received.

I would start with the universal computer fix - in case of doubt, REBOOT!
For an Apple Watch that needs a Forced Reset. Simply press and hold both the Digital Crown and the Side Button (together, about 10-15 seconds) until the Apple logo appears on the display. Then release the buttons ands let you watch restart.
