Add custom made ringtone as alert tone

How do I add Custom made ringtone under "Alert Tones" section?

This way, I can use the tone as a WhatsApp notification sound.

CUSTOM RINGTONES & ALERT TONES WITH iOS 17 When setting custom sounds for alerts the option to select a “Ringtone” is currently no longer available with iOS 17. So if you were using a ringtone as your Calendar Alert, for example, you will only be able to change it to an alert tone going forward. I’m not sure why this change was made…maybe an oversight. My frustration is that I recently purchased some tones from iTunes that were saved as “ringtones” that I wanted to use for alert tones but they no longer display as an option to select. Has anyone else noticed this issue…??

If the ring-tone was made in iOS GarageBand:

The maximum length for exported ringtones is 30 seconds.
