You’re fine. This is typical behavior for literally every US airline. They have the approval code. The approval will drop off within 5 days and the charge will generally appear within about 24 hours of departure. If you still have concerns, it’s understandable, just call the airline and confirm your reservation.

Just so you understand. Federal regulation prohibits merchants from charging a credit card months in advance for a service/product not delivered. So the airline gets you approval then the temporary charge falls off. This frees up you credit limit, doesn’t affect your credit score etc. It’s just scary when you don’t fly much.
