Adapters for firewire IEEE 1394

I have a midyear 2011 mac mini, whose data I have transferred to fire wire hard drive via an IEEE 1394 6-pin connector. I transferred the data to the fire wire hard drive, so when I buy a new iMac 24 inch, I can transfer the data to the new computer.

Question: will this Apple Thunderbolt Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter (.Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter - Apple r) ) do the job?

Also, I will need to connect my old Canon printer to the new iMac, what other adapter will I need?

Thank you for the information. The Canon iP8720 is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting Apple's AirPrint technology, so it should be possible to use it without additional drivers, provided that the computer and the printer are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). An AirPrint printer is compatible with macOS (Ventura).

Hi,

Instead of using a combination of adapters (with an uncertain result) in order to connect a FireWire enclosure to one of the ports on a new iMac, would it be possible to move the hard drive to a compatible enclosure?
