Can you use a company email as your Apple ID for Find my Phone or would it have to be an "icloud" email?

You can use any email address for your Apple ID (but there is a 30 day wait for new iCloud accounts). I see a fair number of posts from people who say they have left their company but forgot to change their AppleID email, so I personally would go for a third party email provider.
