That 4K display should be preferably well supported on the correct USB-C cable out of your Mac.

Do your cables meet that spec, including the USB SuperSpeed+ logo and length under 1 meter?

A display like that is switching near the limits of digital logic switching speeds. Longer cables or poorer cables will not suffice.

are you using any other adapters or Docking devices in the cabling?
